Tenebris Somnia behind the scenes
The pixel rooms were drawn after the live-action rooms were filmed, not the other way around. Sound and music are David Levill. Practical creatures are Marcos Berta’s studio. Those are different jobs, and the Spanish-language question about “efectos” usually wants Levill.

| Sound and music | David Levill. He also worked on Doorways, Hellbound, Out of Bounds, and a Black Heart score remake. |
|---|---|
| Practical effects | Marcos Berta, whose studio worked on When Evil Lurks and Terrified. |
| Camera | Matías Rispau, director of photography. |
| Pipeline | Shoot first, then paint the pixel room to match. Borghi explained this to 80.lv. |
What the route feels like
The detail I keep coming back to is the two-faced prop. Fangoria describes a cast of the actor’s face, taken twice, cut in half, sculpted, and fitted with a scissor mechanism. The plaster was too heavy, so the finished piece was velcroed to a double. That is why some viewers think the cutscenes are generated. They are heavy practical builds plus a limited amount of CGI, which is the sentence the AI page is for. I was not on the set. I am repeating Airdorf’s Xbox Wire post and Fangoria’s interview.
How the shoot worked
Borghi has said the idea arrived while he was streaming FAITH: pixel horror, then a live-action cut. He and Tobías Rusjan built a demo at Saibot Studios and took it to New Blood. Filming was in Buenos Aires. Xbox Wire describes fake blood on the floor of a 17th-century cathedral, a boom operator sprinting twenty meters and sliding the last two to catch a light, and guerrilla shots in a subway at night. Silicone masks were molded off the actors’ faces. Wax dummies got too expensive, so later ones are a cheaper waterproof material painted red.
The team also shot Devora, a short in the same world, with Clara Kovacic. A full making-of documentary was something they hoped to release after launch. It was not out on October 17, 2026. Cutscenes have no dialogue, so the films did not need a separate dub.
